The Time Machine

When my ex used to hear people say to me,
“What a calm person you are, so chilled, so patient,”
he would burst out laughing—on a good day.
Because anyone who really knows me knows that when my fuse decides to drop by,
it’s best to find the nearest shelter.
And my fuse visits quite often—only we’ve just gotten older, he and I,
and we learned how to develop a healthy relationship :-)

Typical Capricorn, by the way:
They look calm and quiet,
but say something wrong…
whoa, and the show begins.

And when I want something,
or when emotion rises,
the very last thing I want to do is wait.
But life and the world have taught me
that in the end, when I’m impulsive and don’t wait a moment for the emotion to calm,
or for that sudden craving pounding inside me to pass,
or for the words that just want to burst out of my mouth to pause a little,
the one who suffers most is me.
“Eat an olive,” as they say.

For the emotional person—
and here I mean someone with an emotional awareness system—
there is nothing harder than waiting.
And an emotional awareness system is something entirely different
from simply being “an emotional person.”
Because there, emotion is not the outcome; it’s more like a by-product, if you will,
of the engine called the Solar Plexus, always moving like a wave,
collecting information in countless forms and ways—
mysterious, by the way, with no connection to thought.
And as it moves, it releases emotions into the air.

But emotions are not the answer, not the solution—
that is something entirely different.
They’re simply something that happens in the movement of the engine, the wave.
Inside us and outside us.
And yes, all of us are influenced by it, by the way.

For the emotional person, the hardest thing in the world
is to wait, because the feeling wants to erupt, and we want it now.
And we’re so afraid that something we want so badly
will disappear, slip away, or be taken by someone else—
just because we didn’t run and grab it or say “yes.”

But dear friends,
for the emotional person, the opposite is true.
Time—hard as it is to believe—is our best friend.
A filter that ensures what arrives and stays with you
is exactly what’s meant for you.
And what falls away along the way is simply not relevant.

And yes—if your knight in shining armor comes and knocks on the door
and you tell him, “Wait, I need to think about it”—and he frowns and leaves,
then my love, he was not meant for you.
Because whoever is meant for you will come again and again and again, twenty times if needed,
and won’t stop knocking until you have an answer.
Until you feel whether it’s right—or not—for you.
They won’t go anywhere, trust me.

And if your dream job shows up and they want an answer right now—
and you say, “Wait, I need time to think, to digest,”—and they tell you,
“Sweetheart, it’s now or never,”
then the answer is absolutely never.

Because what’s right for you will always be right for you.
It won’t go anywhere, even if you say “no” twenty times.
Like a cat that, no matter what you do,
will always find a way back in through the window.

And it may seem that in the era we live in,
where everything is fast, instant,
and time in recent years runs like a crazy rabbit,
there’s no space at all for people who take their time,
who don’t rush anywhere,
especially not with their decisions.

But time, as many of us know,
is a funny kind of illusion—it has a clock of its own.
A unique kind of energy
that shifts and changes as we move from place to place,
cross countries, fly into space,
or just because there happens to be a lunar eclipse.

And a person with an emotional awareness system
lives on a different clock—
in ways both logical and deeply mysterious,
and endlessly fascinating.

The one who is truly right for you, who truly loves you,
will not go anywhere and will not be scared away—
not when you’re down, and of course not when you’re up.
In fact, there’s a very good chance that this is exactly why they love you so much (la la la).
Not because you’re perfect,
not because you pretend to be someone or something else,
but because you are exactly, exactly who you are.
And they’re crazy about the beauty of your quirks :-)

So yes—no sticks up your butt, that’s what I’m saying.
And if I may add, warmly recommended—
no sticks in the wheels, either.

Peace and light. 🌟
